Light and Shadow
Objects can be classified as luminous or non-luminous based on whether they emit light. Luminous objects, like the Sun or a candle, produce their own light, while non-luminous objects, such as a book or a tree, do not and are visible only when illuminated by a light source. Shadows are formed when a non-luminous object blocks light from a luminous source, creating a dark area behind the object.
Transparent ,Translucent, and Opaque
Objects can be classified based on how they allow light to pass through them. Transparent objects, like glass and clear plastic, let light pass through completely, making them see-through. Translucent objects, such as frosted glass or thin paper, allow some light to pass through but scatter it, making objects on the other side appear blurry. Opaque objects, like wood or metal, block light completely, preventing anything from being seen through them.
