Non-green plants, like certain fungi and algae, lack chlorophyll but obtain nutrients through other means. Insectivorous plants, like the Venus flytrap, capture insects to obtain nutrients.
Plants Animal Interdependence
Plants and animals need each other to survive. Plants make food through sunlight, and animals eat those plants. Then, other animals eat those animals. It's like a big food circle. This circle is called a food chain. But it's not just a straight line. It is like a big web where everyone eats someone else. This web is called a food web, and it shows how all living things depend on each other for food.
Seed Dispersal And Pollination
Seed dispersal is like nature's way of spreading seeds to new places. Animals, wind, water, and even humans help seeds travel. Animals like birds and squirrels eat fruits and then drop the seeds far from the parent plant. Some seeds are dispersed by the wind, like dandelion seeds floating in the air. Pollination is when pollen from flowers moves to other flowers, helping them make seeds. Bees and butterflies are great pollinators.
