Classification Of Animals
Animals are classified into Mammals, reptiles, fish, and insects each have unique characteristics. Mammals are warm-blooded, have hair or fur, and most give live birth, feeding their young with milk. Reptiles are cold-blooded, have scaly skin, and lay eggs on land. Fish are aquatic, cold-blooded, have gills for breathing, and scales for protection. They lay eggs in water. Insects lack a backbone, have six legs, and their bodies are divided into three parts: head, thorax, and abdomen. They also have antennae and most undergo metamorphosis during their life cycle.
Feeding Habits Of different Animals
Herbivores, carnivores, and omnivores are key parts of the food chain. Herbivores eat only plants, like cows and deer. Carnivores, such as lions and tigers, consume other animals. Omnivores, like humans and bears, eat both plants and animals. The food chain shows how energy moves through an ecosystem, starting with plants (producers), followed by herbivores, carnivores, and omnivores, forming a balance in nature’s ecosystem.
Animals Habitat
Habitat is the natural environment that provides the necessary resources such as food, water and shelter. Terrestrial animals, like lions, live on land, while aerial animals, such as eagles, fly in the sky. Arboreal animals, like monkeys, inhabit trees, and aquatic animals, like fish, live in water. Polar region animals, such as penguins and polar bears, are adapted to icy environments. Wild animals live freely in nature, while domestic animals, like cows, are cared for by humans. Amphibians, like frogs, thrive both on land and in water.They mostly live on land and go to water for laying eggs.
